FotoSurf - Terms for participating the photo contest

Please mind the quality of your pictures before you submit them. We receive many photos every month with a bad scan quality or too much compression.

Minimum 600 pixels on the longest side, maximum 800 pixels on the longest side of the picture

Your name (also your first name), where you live (city and country), title and/or location of the picture, tech info (camera (brand + type), lens and film (brand + type))
PLEASE MENTION WHAT YOU DID TO IMPROVE OR CHANGE THE PICTURE

Which photo?

Please see the pictures in the archives. There you can see the quality of the selected and winning photos. Please realise that it is not relevant that you have such good memories when you see your photos (the first steps of your child or that adorable little boy you met during your vacation in Bangla Desh). The visitors of FotoSurf don't have that good memories, they think a photo is good or not.

Please remove all borders and frames and please do not send ZIPs! Just normal (good quality) JPEGs!

Important!: We are happy to receive your photos, but we have to make a selection, we only can have 9 of 12 in each contest. We receive a lot of pictures each month and the good ones are kept in stock for future use. So submitting does not mean that you are in the contest.

When you e-mail a photo, please do not send images larger then the maximum size of 400 kb. Please only use the Jpeg format as an attachment on your e-mail. Each contest has a deadline: the 25th of the month. But we can keep (good) pictures in stock for future use, so you can mail photos at any time! Please mail no more then 3 at the time.

Don't bother to send us photos of any objectionable nature like pornography, racism, violence, etc. because we don't use, store or publish it!

We assume that persons who are on the photos do not have objections against publication on the internet. We do not take any responsibilaty on that matter.

Sending in photos for the contest means that you agree with publishing the photo in the contest and the archive on the FotoSurf website. We do not use your pictures for anything else.
It is always good to include the technical features of the used equipment and film.
