"Angkor, Cambodia", with 16,9 % of the votes

As part of a 9 month trip through South East Asia that covered Myanmar, Laos, Thailand, Vietnam, Sri Lanka and of course Cambodia, my wife, Dana, and I spent some time at Angkor Wat. Getting up before the sun to avoid the heat and to capture the beautiful light we came across this scene in one of the of the Temples of Angkor, Preah Khan.
Two workmen responsible for keeping the grounds tidy stoppped for a smoke break as the sun just started to appear across the horizon, bathing everything around us in a brilliant gold. I was standing in the temple looking down the path and and was mesmerised by the magic that surrounded us. www.djphotography.net
